ItineraryDay 1 – Saskatchewan to Jamestown, ND
Our adventure begins with pick ups in Saskatoon and Regina and points along the way.
Day 2 – Jamestown to North Sioux City, IA
Guided tour of the Redlin Art Center, a tribute to artist Terry Redlin, at Watertown, SD. Be inspired by art and natural beauty in the gallery and on the grounds. Conservation Park designed by Terry himself features 30 acres of park and wetlands considered “Redlin’s living painting”. The park surrounds the massive 52,000-square-foot brick building featuring a gray, black and white interior finish with Redlin’s original oil paintings as the focal point. Your lunch will be included today.
Day 3 – Sioux City to St. Joseph, MO
Discover the world-famous historic Village of Boys Town on this guided tour of the national headquarters and largest child-care facility in Nebraska. Created by Father Edward Joseph Flanagan in 1921, Boys Town offers a safe haven for children removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. They are provided with care and compassion and integrated into a family unit where they’re taught social and independent living skills to help them succeed. Lunch will be included today.
Day 4 – St Joseph to Hamilton, and Return
Quilters, this is the pièce de résistance - the day you have waited for! Hamilton is a quilter’s paradise with 12 themed quilt shops and the Main Shop at the Missouri Star Quilt Company. Check out the patterns, Missouri Star branded fabric and thread, as well as the souvenirs. Learn more about your craft and plan your next quilting project. Attend a two-hour Trunk Show with Edie McGinnis upon arrival. Let this ultimate quilter experience fuel your creativity! After the show, enjoy your free time. A boxed lunch is included after the trunk show. The afternoon is free to browse all the quilting shops. Free time in the evening to relax after your busy day.
Day 5 – St Joseph to Hamilton And Return
First stop this morning is in Jamesport, MO, home to the largest Old Order Amish Settlement west of the Mississippi River; one of the strictest Amish colonies in the world. This quaint town boasts several quilt shops as well as several unique antique stores. Back to Hamilton for the afternoon for more shopping and a visit to the Missouri Quilt Museum.
Day 6 – St. Joseph to Kansas City, KS
Before departing St Joseph, enjoy a guided tour of the Pony Express Museum. Delve into the history of the Pony Express, a mail service (from 1860 to 1861) where relays of men riding horses carried saddlebags of mail across a 3,219 km trail covering more than 402 km in a 24-hour day. Explore the Pony Express Museum featuring the restored and renovated stables, as well as interactive and educational exhibits. Upon arrival in Kansas City, there will be free time to stroll through the City Market. This farmers market has been around since 1857 and boasts many global eateries, gourmet grocery stores and indie boutiques. The day’s not over yet! There will be a guided tour of the Arabia Steamboat Museum. The museum houses artifacts salvaged from the Arabia, a steamboat that sank in the Missouri River in 1856. The 30,000-square-foot museum opened on November 13, 1991. This evening, a dinner theatre is included with a production of Jersey Boys.
Day 7 – Kansas City
It’s the first day of the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival. This festival is proudly organized by a dedicated group of volunteers from seventeen local quilt guilds in the Kansas City and surrounding area. This nationally renowned Quilt Festival offers an exceptional lineup of quilt classes and lectures presented by esteemed faculty. The festival highlights a judged quilt competition alongside a non-judged quilt display curated by our participating local quilt guilds. Additionally, attendees can explore this year's Challenge Quilts and Special Exhibits, showcasing the creativity and talent within the quilting community. Enjoy an authentic Kansas City BBQ to close out your day.
Day 8 – Kansas City
Last day to get your fill at the Quilt Festival! Do some final shopping with the vendors or take in one of the many classes that are offered.
Day 9 – Kansas City to Watertown, SD
It’s time to start our way back home. Tonight, join your fellow travellers along with your tour director and bus driver at the WestWorld Tours Farewell Dinner.
Day 10 – Watertown to Minot, ND
Travel from Watertown to Minot.
Day 11 – Minot to Saskatchewan
Almost home! Say good-bye to your fellow quilters and start planning your next quilting adventure!

Tour the three different galleries. Over 160 original oil paintings. The artist’s romantic view of America’s rural landscape highlighted by the glow of golden sunsets, cozy campfires, and starry skies.
Boys Town Guided Tour
The first stop of the tour will be at the Hall of History. Other attractions include Dowd Chapel and the Father Flanagan Tomb, Chambers Chapel, the Garden of the Bible, the historic Father Flanagan House, the Gift Shop and Leon Myers Stamp Center, both located in the Visitors Center.
Missouri Star Quilt Company
enjoy two days in Hamilton, a quilters paradise with 12 themed quilt shops and of course the main shop, Missouri Star Quilt Company.

Missouri Quilt Museum
Enjoy a tour of the Missouri Quilt Museum. From modern and vintage quilts to antique sewing machines and thimbles, every item holds a special emotional connection that we strive to convey to our visitors.
Day Trip to Jamesport

Pony Express Museum
Spend some time at the museum as they share with you the personal stories of the business men who gave all they had to finance and support the Pony Express national historic site, and learn about the daring riders and their historic rides.
Arabia Steamboat Museum
A self-guided tour of the museum, with a new series of short videos that walk you through the story of the Arabia dig. Museum staff will be there if you have any questions along the way. The preservation lab is often open for you to learn how the many tons of artifacts are cleaned and prepared for display. You will pass beside the Arabia’s engines and boilers located on the 171-foot-long replicated wood-planked deck of the Arabia.
Dinner Theatre
Enjoy a dinner and a show! Enjoy a large, unlimited buffet, before settling down for the Broadway Show 'Jersey Boys'.
Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival
The Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival will be celebrating its 10 years of inspiration. The Festival attracts award-winning quilters and educators from across the nation and highlights special exhibits honoring the art of quilting.
